ABOUT US

Mindie Lemelman, M.A., CCC-SLP is the founder and owner of Talk the Talk NY.  She is a New York State licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist. 



Mindie received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, she knew that she had a strong interest in working with children and adults with special needs. Mindie went on to earn a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from Hofstra University.  She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is certified as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).

Mindie has experience evaluating and providing therapy for children and adults with language learning disabilities, speech disorders, fluency disorders, hearing impairment and autism. She has attended numerous continuing education seminars on a variety of topics including: Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), intervention for Central Auditory processing Disorder (CAPD), improving pragmatic/social language skills in children, vocabulary strategies and interventions to improve reading fluency. In addition, Mindie has received 30 credits above her M.A. degree in issues pertaining to school aged children such as aiding students with learning disabilities, preparing for high stakes exams and collaborating with parents to improve student outcomes.

Mindie is passionate about understanding her client’s needs and creating individualized goals that allow for successful communication. She strongly believes in collaborating with parents and other professionals in order to help her client’s reach their full potential.
